Delete your Fishing Weather account

Delete your account in the app, or send us a deletion request if you no longer have access to the app.

Before you continue: Account deletion is permanent. It does not delete your Google or Apple account. Never send us your password, sign-in token, or identity documents by email.

1. Request account deletion

Delete immediately in the app

  1. Open Fishing Weather and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open the Profile tab and select Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Review the confirmation message and confirm deletion.

Request deletion without the app

Email us from the address used with Google or Apple sign-in when possible. Include the sign-in provider, account email, and whether you want the entire account or only selected data deleted.

Email a deletion request

We may reply to verify that you control the account. We will never ask for your password or authentication token. We normally acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete verified requests within 30 days.

2. Delete selected data without deleting your account

  • Catch records and photos: Open Profile → My Catches, select a record, and delete it. Its uploaded photo is deleted with the record.
  • Saved locations: Open Profile → Saved Locations and delete the location you no longer want saved.
  • Other requests: Use the email link above and clearly identify the data you want deleted while keeping your account active.

3. What account deletion removes

Deleted from the active service

  • Fishing Weather account profile and internal user ID
  • Active authentication sessions
  • Saved locations
  • Catch records, notes, measurements, dates, and locations
  • Uploaded catch photos

Not affected

  • Your Google or Apple account
  • Data held independently by Google, Apple, or your device
  • Local preferences and caches until you clear app data or uninstall the app

4. Retention exceptions

Limited records may remain temporarily in security logs, diagnostic systems, or backups under our operational retention schedules, or longer when required for fraud prevention, legal claims, accounting, security, or regulatory compliance. Retained data is restricted to those purposes and is not used to restore or continue the deleted account.

Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer be associated with your account may be retained. See our Privacy Policy for additional details.
